Olympia — Washington’s state capital — sits at the southernmost tip of Puget Sound, where the water finally runs out of room and gives way to land. Budd Inlet reaches down into the heart of the city like a pointing finger, framing the Capitol Campus on its eastern shore — the dome visible from the water, from the bridge, from halfway across town.
